According to a special correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Germany, the weather conditions at the Duisburg Sports Park, where the Azerbaijani team is also competing, are completely unsuitable for beach volleyball.
Due to the rain, matches have been interrupted several times, and the court was temporarily evacuated due to a storm warning.
However, none of this has yet affected the competition schedule of our athletes.
In the women's competition, Sabina Alizade and Fidan Ahmadkhanova played their second match of the tournament today at the multifunctional venue. They lost in two sets to the Lithuanian duo Krizanauskaite-Rudkovskaja. This was their second defeat at the Universiade.
Later, our men's duo, Nariman Bayramli and Aykhan Abdullayev, will take to the court. They are set to face the Austrian pair Klemen and Spoler.
