Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who had achieved success in international competitions throughout the month.
The event took place at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and was also attended by the athletes' coaches, Idman.biz reports.
The ceremony began with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. Minister Farid Gayibov then presented honorary titles and badges to individuals awarded the titles of “Honored Coach of the Republic of Azerbaijan” and “Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
After the screening of a video showcasing the international achievements of Azerbaijani athletes over the past month, representatives from various sports disciplines spoke about their competitions and accomplishments. These included aerobic and acrobatic gymnastics, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, boxing, basketball, judo, beach wrestling, freestyle wrestling, women's wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, minifootball, kickboxing, karate, MMA, para powerlifting, para badminton, belt wrestling, Kyrgyz kuresh, and deaflympics (karate WKF).
At the end of the event, Minister Farid Gayibov congratulated the athletes and wished them greater success in their upcoming competitions.
