A total of 246 sets of medals will be contested in 23 sports disciplines at the 3rd CIS Games.
This was announced by Baku City Circuit organizers. Swimming will offer the highest number of medal sets — 40 in total, Idman.biz reports.
In team sports such as football, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, and chovgan, both champions and MVPs (Most Valuable Players) will be named.
The competitions will be held across 12 sports venues.
The 3rd CIS Games are scheduled for September 28 to October 8, 2025, and will take place in seven cities of Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol, and Khankendi.
Athletes and official delegations from CIS member and invited countries are expected to participate in the event.
