Champions crowned at the Azerbaijan Bodybuilding Cup

The Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Cup brought together 76 competitors battling across five disciplines, delivering a vibrant and unforgettable competition that set new standards for excellence.

Bodybuilding events always draw significant public interest—and this year was no exception. Elektra Events Hall was packed with spectators, and Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, also attended to watch the action unfold, Idman.biz reports.

Rauf Bunyataliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ABFF), highlighted that the national cup is traditionally held shortly before the European Championship, where the national team will be competing.

This season, the ABFF introduced new categories. Notably, Natalya Tretyakova emerged victorious in both the Fit-Model and Bikini Fitness competitions.
In Classic Bodybuilding, Ilyas Abdullayev claimed the top spot, while Khizri Shahriyar won the Classic Physique division. In the main bodybuilding categories, Ismayil Nabiyev was crowned the absolute champion.

The Men’s Physique (Beach Bodybuilding) competition also generated major excitement. After intense semi-finals and finals, Ahmad Guluzade secured the absolute champion title.

The five-hour event was dynamic, highly competitive, and thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd.

Next up for Azerbaijani bodybuilders is the European Championship, taking place from April 30 to May 3 in Santa Susanna, Spain. Last year, Azerbaijani athletes achieved an impressive haul of 8 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals there, securing four team titles—including first place in the bodybuilding team standings.
