New footage has emerged in the Netherlands showing a skydiver who crashed into a pole while delivering the match ball ahead of the game between Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the incident was this time captured from a camera attached to the skydiver himself. The footage shows him approaching the stadium at high speed before losing the ability to correct his trajectory during the landing and crashing into a pole behind the goal.
Following the incident, the skydiver also spoke about his condition. He said he did not suffer any serious fractures or life-threatening injuries, but sustained a severe bruise to his hip.
Despite the heavy impact, he got back on his feet immediately after the incident and signalled to the fans in the stands that he was fine. The first footage of the incident spread widely on the day of the match, while the new angle provides an even clearer view of how dangerous the crash was.
