Baku Youth Center hosted the official opening ceremony of the Confucius Institute branch operating under the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
According to Idman.Biz, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports released information about the event.
It was reported that the ceremony took place with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the country.
The event featured speeches by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, China’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, and Baku Youth Center Director Nargiz Babayeva.
During the ceremony, a tripartite memorandum of cooperation was signed between Baku Youth Center (Director Nargiz Babayeva), the Confucius Institute under the Azerbaijan University of Languages (Director Rafiq Abbasov), and the Confucius Institute from China (Director Li Jihua).
The ceremony also showcased Azerbaijani and Chinese national dances and music, along with an exhibition of handicrafts created by Chinese students.
At the conclusion of the event, a gift exchange took place between the participating parties.
