Kirsti Burovs, Director of the Safe Sport Department of the International Olympic Committee, expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee (NOC) during an online address at the III Safe Sport Forum held in Baku, Idman.Biz reports.
“I sincerely thank the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee. Year after year, you demonstrate true leadership by bringing together those working in athlete safety, athletes, coaches, officials, and partners,” Burovs said. She emphasized that the shared goal is ensuring that everyone participating in sports feels safe, valued, and protected.
Burovs also noted that NOC has expanded its efforts since last year’s forum, showing that commitments to safety and well-being can become integral to sports culture. “As the IOC, we are proud to contribute alongside you to the growth of this global initiative,” she added.
