Seven competitions will take place today at the 3rd CIS Games.
According to Idman.biz, swimming events will continue at the city’s Sports Palace.
The city, which has been designated as the capital of the 3rd CIS Games, will also host qualifying matches in volleyball. Azerbaijan’s U-15 women’s national team will face Kyrgyzstan.
In Sheki, the next matches of the qualifying stage in chovgan will be held. Competing in Group A, the Azerbaijani national team will play against Kuwait.
Additionally, Gabala Shooting Club will stage both qualifying and final rounds in skeet shooting.
In the same city, the badminton competition will begin with matches in the mixed team event.
In Yevlakh, the boxing tournament will continue with qualifying stage bouts.
Meanwhile, in Mingachevir, the next winners in taekwondo will be determined.
The 3rd CIS Games will conclude on October 8. A total of 1,624 athletes and 2,337 delegates from 13 countries are taking part. Azerbaijan is represented by 340 athletes, Pakistan by 4, Russia by 262, Uzbekistan by 254, Belarus by 240, Kazakhstan by 147, Tajikistan by 144, Kyrgyzstan by 126, Turkmenistan by 48, Turkiye by 38, Cuba by 11, Kuwait by 6, and Oman by 4.
