Star guest of upcoming UFC event in Baku rises to second in rankings

After UFC 316, held last weekend in Newark, USA, the UFC has updated its official rankings.

Idman.biz reports that Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili, the bantamweight (61 kg) world champion, has climbed to second place in the UFC’s Pound-for-Pound rankings following his victory in a rematch against American Sean O'Malley.

Dvalishvili and former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad (USA) will be special guests at the upcoming UFC event in Baku.

The event will take place on June 21 at Baku Crystal Hall.

The main event of the night will feature a clash between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill and former title contender Khalil Rountree.

The co-main event will be a lightweight bout between Azerbaijani fighter Rafael Fiziev and Ignacio Bahamondes (Chile).

Other Azerbaijani representatives, Nazim Sadykhov and Tofiq Musayev, will also step into the octagon. Their opponents will be Nikolas Motta (Brazil) and Myktybek Orolbai (Kyrgyzstan), respectively.
