- You were not born in Azerbaijan and you do not live here either. But you enter the competitions with our tricolor flag.
- I grew up with Azerbaijani culture in the family of this country and with my Azerbaijani friends. I have had many compatriots around me to share these feelings. If I speak with the flag of Azerbaijan, there is no magic answer - I am an Azerbaijani.
- Have you been to Baku? What do you like most in our capital and in Azerbaijan?
- I miss Azerbaijan. Leaving Baku is always more difficult than coming here. I love being in my homeland. Most of all, I enjoy our culture. I love Icherisheher very much. It is one of my favorite places to be. There are many historical places there.
- What advice would you give to young Azerbaijanis who want to fight in the UFC?
- My advice to young Azerbaijanis who want to participate in the UFC is to just train without stopping. Don't worry about other things. Try to increase as you see improvement in yourself. Never stay in one place. Definitely try to increase.
- How did you become interested in this type of fighting?
- My life consists of sports. Before I went to school, my father took me to sports. Before I learned to read and write, I played sports. This is part of my life. At the age of 15-16, my interest grew even more and I decided to do professional sports. I was a big fan of UFC. When I was 20-21 years old, I was already on the professional path.
- Who is the opponent you most want to face in the UFC?
- I never thought about the opponent. I want to face those who don't think I can win. I want to be in the 8-corner ring with the opponents that the fans want me to fight.
- Conor McGregor or Khabib Nurmagomedov?
- In fact, both of them managed to change the sport. Thanks to them, the UFC became a world-class martial art. If I had to choose, I would say Habib. But I like both very much.
- Would you like to move to Azerbaijan and live here?
- I always feel great in Azerbaijan. I cannot say what will happen in the future. But it is possible.
- What are your future goals?
- I have a goal now. I want to be a champion in the UFC. I don't think about other things.
