UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev has expressed his desire to face former 77 kg titleholder Kamaru Usman in his next fight.
According to İdman.Biz, the Russian fighter highlighted the status and achievements of the potential opponent.
“I would like to fight Usman. Why not? He has many titles, many defenses, and records. It would be a big fight,” Makhachev told Match TV.
Kamaru Usman last competed on June 15 in Atlanta at UFC on ESPN 69, where he faced Joaquin Buckley. The bout went the full five rounds and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Usman.
