Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has stated that he is ready to face former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather in a rematch under mixed martial arts rules.
According to İdman.Biz, a UFC event at the White House is scheduled for June 14, and McGregor is considering that evening as a potential date for the blockbuster bout.
The Irish fighter stressed on social media that he has not abandoned the idea of the fight and is waiting for his rival’s decision. McGregor said he is ready to step into the octagon as soon as Mayweather agrees to an MMA format. He also jokingly mentioned Michael Chandler, adding: "When Mayweather is ready for the promised MMA fight, I will be here" and "In MMA, I would easily beat Floyd in ten seconds".
It should be recalled that McGregor and Mayweather previously met in 2017 in a boxing match, where the American won by technical knockout.
