On the first day of competition, six of our judokas participated across three weight categories, Idman.biz reports.

Khadija Abdullayeva and Gulshan Huseynova (both 44 kg) won two matches each and continue to compete for a medal.
Anar Guliyev (50 kg) defeated Armenia’s Narek Davtyan in the round of 16.
Rza Khalilli (50 kg) and Rasul Alizada (55 kg) lost in the round of 32. Mahammadali Husiyev (55 kg) won in the round of 32 and advanced to the next stage.
The individual competitions at the World Championship will continue until August 30, with the mixed team events scheduled for August 31.
