The International Judo Federation (IJF) has published an article summarizing the first half of the year.
Among the season’s key events, the IJF highlighted the “Grand Slam” tournament held in Baku, Idman.biz reports.
The article emphasizes that the World Judo Tour continues at a fast and thrilling pace: “Tournaments have taken place in Baku, Tashkent, Austria, Tbilisi, Dushanbe, and Astana. Each event featured its own surprises, breakthroughs, and world-class ippons.
With the summer break briefly halting the competition period, the focus now shifts to youth: the Cadet World Championships will be held in Sofia at the end of August. After that, the World Judo Tour will resume with the ‘Qingdao Grand Prix 2025’ on September 26–28.”
