Azerbaijani judoka Mahammad Aghakishiyev (73 kg) has defeated his opponent from Armenia by ippon at the 18th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival held in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The judoka began his campaign in the 1/8 finals, facing Tigran Sarukhanyan, Idman.biz reports.
Aghakishiyev won the match by ippon and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Earlier, Amin Mehdiyev (81 kg) also secured a place in the quarterfinals.
