Judo competitions continue at the Universiade held in the Rhein-Ruhr region of Germany.
According to special correspondent of İdman.biz in Germany, four Azerbaijani judokas stepped onto the tatami today.
Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg) defeated Sreynich Kun (Cambodia) in her first match and then overcame Lea Beres (France) to advance to the semifinals. Although she lost at this stage to Hako Fukunaga (Japan), she continues to compete for the bronze medal.

As reported by Idman.biz’s special correspondent in Germany, four Azerbaijani judokas took to the tatami today.
Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg) defeated Sreynich Kun from Cambodia in her first bout and then overcame French judoka Lea Beres to advance to the semifinals.
Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) began the competition with a defeat – she lost her opening match to Germany’s Helen Habib.
Babarahim Mirzayev (60 kg) won his first match against Poland’s Igor Blaszczak but was defeated in the next round by Japan’s Yamato Fukuda.
Nazir Talibov (66 kg) secured a victory over Etznaison Saint-Hilaire from Haiti, but later lost to Ukraine’s Mykyta Holoborodko.
