Tomorrow, the judo tournament will kick off at the Universiade held in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
As reported by special correspondent of Idman.biz in Germany, the competitions will take place at Messe Essen, the main sports venue of the multi-forum.
Organizers have already arranged the tatamis and are currently dealing with technical matters. The matches will be held on three tatamis.
The Azerbaijani team will be represented at the Universiade by the following athletes: Babarahim Mirzayev (60 kg), Nazir Talibov (66 kg), Nariman Mirzayev (73 kg), Mehdi Abbasov (81 kg), Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg), Davud Namazli (100 kg), and Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg), Konul Aliyeva (48 kg), Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg), Aytaj Gardashkhanli (70 kg), Narmin Amirali (78 kg), and Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg).
