A new milestone in Azerbaijan’s judo history has been reached — a local referee has been invited to officiate at the senior World Judo Championship for the very first time.
Nazim Umbayev, a member of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation’s referee committee and an international referee with an A category license, will represent Azerbaijan among the officials at the global event, Idman.biz reports.
The championship will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from June 13 to 20.
