The Azerbaijani men's national judo team is in the final phase of preparation for the upcoming World Judo Championships, continuing intensive training sessions in Baku.

The team is training twice daily at the National Teams’ Training Center. Each day includes two sessions—morning sessions focused on physical conditioning and afternoon sessions dedicated to technical and tactical preparation, Idman.biz reports.

The training camp is led by Performance Director and head coach of the men’s national team, Richard Trautmann. He is supported by senior coaches Elkhan Mammadov, Elchin Ismayilov, Robert Kravchik, and Slavko Tekic.

The World Judo Championships will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from June 13 to 20. Azerbaijan will be represented by 13 judokas—9 men and 4 women—across 10 weight categories in individual events. The team will also compete in the mixed team event.
