The Azerbaijani women's national judo team has claimed the top spot at the European Cup held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The team delivered an outstanding performance, securing two gold and two bronze medals, Idman.biz reports.
Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (57 kg) earned gold, while Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg) and Gunel Hasanli (78 kg) took home bronze medals.
Remarkably, Azerbaijan was the only nation to win multiple gold medals at the tournament. Croatia (1 gold, 3 silver) finished second, and Poland (1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze) placed third.
Judokas from 13 countries reached the podium during the event.
