Azerbaijan will be represented by four judokas at the upcoming European Kata Judo Championships, set to take place in Riga, Latvia.
The national team will compete in the Nage-no-Kata and Katame-no-Kata disciplines. The continental tournament will bring together 332 judokas from 22 countries.
Team Azerbaijan includes:
Nage-no-Kata: Ismayil Rzayev (tori – the attacking judoka) and Samir Ismayilov (uke – the receiving judoka)
Katame-no-Kata: Rafig Najafov (tori) and Seymur Majidli (uke)
The competition kicks off on May 31 and will conclude on June 1.
