The Azerbaijani national judo team has joined a training camp organized by the European Judo Union in Benidorm, Spain.
A total of 36 Azerbaijani athletes (28 men and 8 women) are participating in the camp, Idman.biz reports.
They are training under the guidance of men's national team head coach Richard Trautmann, women's team coach Amina Abdellatif, and junior team head coach Rustam Alimli.
The main goal of the camp is to prepare for the World Championships, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary from June 13–20, as well as other international competitions. Olympic champions Hidayat Heydarov and Zelym Kotsoiev are also taking part.
The international training camp, which includes representatives from more than 20 countries, will conclude on May 23.
