Judokas from 71 countries register for World Championships

Judokas from 71 countries have already registered to compete in the upcoming Judo World Championships, set to take place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Italy currently leads with the largest delegation, planning to compete with 18 athletes. Following closely are France, Germany, and South Korea in the over-100 kg category, Idman.biz reports.

Meanwhile, several national teams have yet to announce their official line-ups. Notably, the host country Hungary, as well as powerhouses like Japan, Brazil, and Mongolia, have not yet completed their registrations.

The final roster for Team Azerbaijan will be decided after their ongoing training camp in Benidorm, Spain.

The Judo World Championships will be held from June 13 to 19.
