Ahead of the World Judo Championships set to take place in Budapest, Hungary, several Azerbaijani judokas have improved their world rankings.
Elnur Hajiyev (90 kg) has moved up one spot to rank 5th, Idman.biz reports.
Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) climbed to 6th place, while Balabay Aghayev (60 kg) has re-entered the top 10. Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) is currently ranked 11th, just outside the Top 10.
Meanwhile, Olympic champions Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg) continue to lead the rankings in their respective weight categories confidently.
The Azerbaijani team roster for the World Championship, which kicks off on June 13, has yet to be officially announced.
