The Istanbul Junior European Cup 2025 has wrapped up in Turkiye.
Idman.biz, Azerbaijani judokas added four more medals on the second day of the competition.
Aslan Kotsoev (90 kg) dominated all five of his matches to claim the gold, defeating Kazakhstan’s Gleb Azarov in the final. Meanwhile, Mehdi Abbasov (81 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg), and Khadija Gadeshova (52 kg) secured bronze medals.
On the first day, Nizami Imanov (66 kg) clinched gold, while Nihad Mammadov and Farid Garayev (both 60 kg) earned bronze.
In total, Team Azerbaijan finished the European Cup with two gold and five bronze medals, placing 4th overall among 31 nations and 2nd in the men’s team standings.
