The World Judo Tour resumes this week with the next stop set for Dushanbe, where the latest edition of the prestigious Grand Slam tournament will take place.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani national team is on its way to the capital of Tajikistan to compete. The team will be represented by eight judokas across various weight categories:
Balabey Agayev (60 kg)
Yashar Najafov (66 kg)
Vusal Qalandarzade (73 kg)
Suleyman Shukurov (81 kg)
Elcan Hajiyev and Vugar Talibov (both 90 kg)
Jamal Gamzatkhanov and Kenan Nasibov (+100 kg)
The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 2 to 4, with athletes from 27 countries expected to participate.
