A seminar on refereeing rules has been held for members of Azerbaijan’s junior national judo team ahead of the World Championships.
İdman.Biz reports that the session took place at the Training and Sports Centre for the national judo teams.
The seminar was led by Natig Bagirov, an adviser to the president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and chairman of the Refereeing Committee. Members of the national team’s coaching staff also attended the session.
The main aim of the seminar was to familiarise the athletes with the latest changes to judo rules and explain the refereeing criteria for various situations they may encounter during competitions.
Bagirov provided detailed information on the changes to the rules, their practical application and the assessment of different situations.
Various competition scenarios were analysed during the session, while the questions raised by the athletes and coaches were also answered.
