Former Brazilian footballer and 2002 World Cup winner Edilson has decided to take part in the popular Brazilian reality show Big Brother Brasil.
According to İdman.Biz, citing Central do Braga, the ex-player explained his decision by serious financial difficulties. Edilson admitted that all the money he earned during his career was lost in unsuccessful business deals, which led to severe consequences, including repeated problems with the law.
“I’m here only for the money. I need money. I made wrong decisions in my life. I trusted the wrong people who did not deserve it,” Edilson said.
It should be noted that the former forward ended his professional career in 2016. The last club of his playing career was Brazilian side Toboao.
