The U-17 regional judo championship for the Absheron-Khizi region has started at the Sumqayıt Olympic Sports Complex.
According to Idman.Biz, a total of 219 judokas from Absheron, Khizi, and Sumqayıt are participating in the tournament.
The championship aims to develop a base of young judo athletes and determine which competitors will qualify for the national championship based on quotas. Additionally, the regional championship provides important ranking points for selection to the national U-17 team.
