Azerbaijan’s Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov, who won a gold medal at the Guadalajara Grand Prix in Mexico, is confident he will return to the top.
Speaking about his successful performance, the athlete said:
"I feel great. It’s like I started everything from scratch, and more will come. This isn’t the first time I’ve lost my form. After success, I sometimes face setbacks, but then I return to the top. Even when I lost at the World Championships, I knew I would rise again. In professional sports, there are ups and downs, you’re either at the top or in decline. Honestly, I’m not too worried about the down periods. I am an Olympic, World, and European champion, and I am confident I will return. All this criticism just motivates me – I love it."
