Azerbaijani judokas captured two gold medals at the Grand Prix in Guadalajara, Mexico, reports Idman.Biz.
The winners of the tournament were Balabey Agayev (60 kg) and Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg). In the final, Agayev defeated Michel Augusto by ippon, while Pashayev overcame Lukas Sahade of Finland in the decisive bout.
Another Azerbaijani judoka, Ahmed Yusifov (60 kg), secured the bronze medal after beating Enzo Jean of France in the third-place match.
The International Judo Federation (IJF) also recognized the success of the Azerbaijani athletes by publishing a congratulatory post on social media.
