According to the International Judo Federation calendar, the Grand Prix tournament will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from October 17 to 19.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijan Judo Federation reported that the national men’s team, led by head coach Richard Trautman and senior coach Elchin Ismayilov, will compete in seven weight categories with 11 judokas.
The team will feature: Ahmad Yusifov and Balabey Agayev (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev and Yashar Najafov (66 kg), Hidayat Heydarov and Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg), Vusal Qalandarzade and Zelim Tchkayev (81 kg), Murad Fatiyev (90 kg), Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg).
The three-day event will host 248 athletes (154 men, 96 women) from 35 countries.
