According to the International Judo Federation (IJF) calendar, the Grand Prix tournament will be held in Lima, Peru.
Idman.biz, citing the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, reports that 17 judokas (14 men and 3 women) will compete in nine weight categories. The men’s team will be led by head coach Richard Trautman and senior coach Elkhan Mammadov, while the women’s team will be led by head coach Amina Abdellatif.
The competitors are: Turan Bayramov and Ahmad Yusifov (both 60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev and Rashad Yelkiyev (66 kg), Hidayat Heydarov and Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg), Vusal Qalanderzade and Omar Rajabli (81 kg), Vugar Talibov and Murad Fatiyev (90 kg), Zelym Kotsoiev and Ajdar Baghirov (100 kg), Ushangi Kokauri and Kenan Nasibov (+100 kg), Konul Aliyeva (48 kg), Khadija Gadasheva and Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg).
The tournament will take place from October 11 to 13.
