All the finalists for the rings event at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Leipzig, Germany, have been confirmed, including Azerbaijani athlete Nikita Simonov.
Eleftherios Petrounias secured first place in the qualification round, Idman.biz reports.
The Olympic champion from Greece, who also won last year’s European title, is considered one of the top favorites for the final.
Also advancing to the final are Adem Asil (Turkiye), Courtney Tulloch and Harry Hepworth (both from Great Britain), Samir Aït Saïd (France), and Artur Avetisyan and Vahagn Davtyan (both from Armenia).
Simonov finished seventh in the qualifiers. The final will take place on May 30.
