2024 Russian rhythmic gymnastics champion and three-time junior world champion Lala Kramarenko, who has Azerbaijani roots, has not been included in Russia’s national team for 2026.
According to Idman.Biz, at the beginning of 2025 the gymnast’s coach Irina Viner stated that Kramarenko had undergone an unsuccessful knee surgery in 2024, although this information was later denied. In November 2025, the athlete herself announced that she was resuming her career.
It should be recalled that until 2014 Lala Kramarenko represented Azerbaijan, after which she moved to Moscow and began competing for the Russian national team. The gymnast’s father, Dmitry Kramarenko, previously played as a goalkeeper for the Azerbaijan national football team, while her twin sister Diana is involved in tennis.
