Forward Harry Kane reached a milestone as he scored twice in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Friday, bringing his tally to 100 goals across all competitions for the German champions.
Idman.biz reports that Kane converted a first-half penalty, extending his flawless Bundesliga streak to 18 consecutive successful spotkicks, and added a second goal in the 65th minute after pouncing on a deflected shot.
Jonathan Tah had opened the scoring for Bayern in the 22nd minute with a deflected backheel. Kane’s 100-goal mark came in just 104 matches, making him the fastest player to reach this milestone in the top five European leagues since 2000, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland.
Kane, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, currently leads the Bundesliga with 10 goals in five games. Despite speculation about a possible Premier League return, Kane stated he is focused on Bayern and enjoying his time with the team.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praised Kane’s achievement and work ethic, while Werder Bremen goalkeeper Karl Hein made several key saves to limit the scoreline. Bayern remain top of the Bundesliga with 15 points, preparing next for their Champions League clash against Pafos.
