Eddie Howe urges patience as Newcastle adjusts to life without Isak

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has called for patience as his side continues to adapt following the departure of star striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool.

Idman.biz, citing Reuters, reports that speaking after Newcastle’s 0-0 draw at Bournemouth — their third consecutive scoreless Premier League game away from home — Howe admitted the Magpies’ attacking play remains a work in progress.

With only three goals scored in five league matches, Newcastle sit 13th in the table on six points. Despite the struggles up front, Howe praised the team’s defensive resilience, noting their third successive clean sheet. He also highlighted the potential of club-record signing Nick Woltemade, who has been tasked with leading the attack.

“I thought Nick played really well today with his link play,” Howe said. “We just need to learn his style more and get runners off him. Without Alex we’re a different team, but hopefully evolving into a better one.”

Newcastle’s next test comes midweek when they host Bradford City in the League Cup second round.
