There have been changes in the Azerbaijan national team squad.
Midfielders Khayal Aliyev and Shahin Shahniyarov have joined our U-21 team, Idman.biz reports.
In their place, Rustam Ahmadzada (“Sumgayit”) and Abdulakh Khaybulayev (“Sabah”) have been called up to the senior national team.
On September 9, the senior national team will face Ukraine in the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage, while the U-21 team will play against Bulgaria in the European Championship qualifiers.
