“Shaki City,” preparing for its third season in the Second League, has changed its head coach.
Idman.biz, citing Sportinfo.az, reports that Bahman Hasanov has been appointed to lead the provincial team.
Firuddin Movsumov, who held the position for the past two years, will now join Hasanov’s coaching staff.
Hasanov’s appointment is not accidental. It follows the merger of “Shaki City” and “Khudat.”
Khudat, which was not admitted to the Second League by the PFL, explored alternative options. The two clubs have now merged under a single name, with the deal finalized under certain conditions.
Khudat’s sponsor acquired a significant share of the club and has committed to providing a sufficient budget.
