In the second round of the Misli Premier League, Yevlakh’s representative was fined during the “Kapaz” – “Karvan-Yevlakh” match.
This decision was made during a meeting of AFFA’s Disciplinary Committee, Idman.biz reports.
The reason was the name printed on the jersey of player No. 4, Olawale Doyeni. A letter not found in the Azerbaijani alphabet was used in the spelling of his name.
The newly joined Premier League team had previously only received a warning for this in the first round. However, since the same issue was repeated, the “Karvan-Yevlakh” club was fined 1,500 AZN.
During the “Turan Tovuz” – “Araz-Nakhchivan” match, the Nakhchivan team received a fine of 700 AZN after four of its players were shown yellow cards.
