Egnatia start Albanian League with defeat

Azerbaijani footballer Zamiq Aliyev’s club Egnatia has kicked off the 2025/2026 Albanian league season.

The reigning champions played away to Vllaznia, Idman.biz reports.

The 24-year-old defender remained on the bench for this match. As a result, Zamiq’s team lost their opening game 0-2.

Egnatia have won the Albanian championship in each of the last two seasons.
