Hojjat Haqverdi’s days without a club are coming to an end after leaving “Neftchi” during the summer break.
Idman.biz, citing Futbolinfo.az, reports that the Azerbaijani national team member is close to reaching an agreement with “Turan Tovuz.”
If the Tovuz club meets the financial demands of the 32-year-old defender, the player will soon join the team’s training camp. Haqverdi, currently in Baku, is in the final stages of discussions with the club.
Previously, the defender had turned down offers from “Araz-Nakhchivan” and “Sumgayit” due to disagreements over financial terms. His potential move to a club in an Asian country also fell through for the same reason.
Hojjat Haqverdi played for “Neftchi” from 2023 to 2025.
