Despite rumors linking Real Madrid with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Spanish club is set to sign a new contract with 33-year-old Thibaut Courtois.
Idman.biz reports that Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri shared the news on X social media.
The parties have reached a verbal agreement on a two-year deal. Courtois’ current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026.
Previously, Manchester City was reported as the main candidate for Donnarumma.
Courtois has been playing for Real Madrid since the summer of 2018. He has appeared in 289 matches, conceded 282 goals, and kept 114 clean sheets. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €20 million.
