Fenerbahce signs first Malian player, Dorgeles Nene

Dorgeles Nene, who joined Fenerbahce, has become the first Malian footballer in the club’s history.

The Istanbul club, which continues its transfer activities, has previously completed the signings of Jhon Duran, Archie Brown, Tarik Cetin, Nelson Semedo, and Milan Skriniar, who played on loan last season, Idman.biz reports.

By transferring Nene from Austria’s Salzburg, the club has strengthened its attacking line.

He has been registered as the 201st foreign player in Fenerbahce’s history.

Nene began his football career at Mali’s Guidars club before moving to Austria’s Salzburg. He subsequently played on loan at Liefering, Ried, and Westerlo.

In the past two seasons, the young player, one of Salzburg’s key players, scored 22 goals in 87 matches for the club.

With Nene’s transfer, Fenerbahce has completed its 110th signing under president Ali Koc, 69 of whom are foreign players.
