Leganes player intends to take leave to care for his child.
25-year-old midfielder Juan Cruz Diaz has left the team’s training camp as he is about to become a father in the coming days, Idman.biz reports.
According to Marca, the Argentine player is seriously considering applying to the club for official leave related to childcare. This would be the first such case in the history of professional football in Spain.
Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano has shown interest in Diaz. The Madrid club considers him a priority target and has therefore suspended other transfer activities.
Diaz himself also intends to leave Leganes, which was relegated to the Segunda Division last season. However, the club still counts on him and does not want him to go.
