Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Nikola Karaklajic, the Serbian footballer of Imishli, in an interview with Sportal.az.
The left-back commented on his team’s 0:1 defeat to Turan Tovuz in the first round of the Misli Premier League: “Next week will be even better. This match was our first game in many years for Imishli. Naturally, we need to be patient. I believe everything will improve. We also wanted a good result and will continue to work hard.”
The foreign player also spoke about the team playing its home games not in Imishli but in Shamakhi: “Honestly, I would prefer to play in our own stadium, in our city. It would also be better for the supporters who back our team. But we have good facilities in Baku. We train at BOS. We feel good and have every condition for proper training. Baku is also a very beautiful city. This was my first match in Azerbaijan. True, we’ve played a few friendly games. I still don’t know everything about the league and so on.
