"I think Qarabag has a higher chance in the games against Ferencvaros."
These words were spoken to AZƏRTAC by Elvin Mammadov, a former Azerbaijani national team and Qarabag player, while commenting on the upcoming UEFA Champions League play-off matches between the Agdam club and Hungary's Ferencvaros, Idman.biz reports.
The specialist, who is currently the head coach of the First League club Sabail, expressed his belief that the Azerbaijani champion will return home with a victory: “Qarabag has built an image as a club that improves every year. Therefore, I believe they will win both matches. Indeed, Ferencvaros is a stronger opponent than Shelbourne and Shkendija, whom the ‘Qarabag’ faced in previous rounds. While the score may not be large, the matches will feature intense competition. I am confident that Qarabag will come out victorious from this duel.”
Today’s Ferencvaros – Qarabag match will start at 23:00 Baku time, with the return leg scheduled for August 27 in Baku.
