Wolves sign Jackson Tchatchoua from Hellas Verona for €12.5m

Wolves have completed the signing of defender Jackson Tchatchoua from Hellas Verona for €12.5 million (£10.8m) on a five-year contract.

Idman.biz, citing BBC, report that the 23-year-old Cameroon international can operate as a right-back or wing-back and was last season recognized as the fastest player in Serie A, reaching an average top speed of 34.88 km/h. Wolves reported he achieved a peak speed of 36.3 km/h.

Tchatchoua began his career at Belgian club Charleroi before spending a year on loan at Hellas Verona, joining them permanently in 2024. Last season, he scored twice and provided three assists in 37 appearances. His arrival strengthens Wolves’ defense as they look to compete in the Premier League.

This marks Wolves’ fifth signing of the summer window, following the permanent acquisition of forward Jorgen Strand Larsen for £23m, forward Fer Lopez for £19m, winger Jhon Arias for £15m, and defender David Moller Wolfe for £10m. With Tchatchoua’s pace and versatility, Wolves hope to bolster both their defensive solidity and attacking support from the back.
