Real Madrid legend and former German midfielder Toni Kroos has named his choice for the greatest goalkeeper in football history.
According to Give Me Sport, Kroos gave the edge to his compatriot, Manuel Neuer, Idman.biz reports.
“I don’t think there’s any other option besides Neuer,” Kroos said. “I had a few training sessions with Oliver Kahn, but there’s no need for more words… For me, Neuer is the best goalkeeper of all time.”
Neuer represented Germany from 2009 to 2024, earning 124 caps. Despite conceding in 118 matches, he managed to keep 51 clean sheets. Since 2011, he has played for Bayern Munich, after starting his professional career with Schalke 04, the club where he came through the youth system.
