Premier League to honor Diogo Jota and his brother with minute of silence

The opening round of the 2025/26 English Premier League season will begin with a one-minute silence in memory of Liverpool’s late winger Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.

According to BBC Online, during the first round of the Premier League, players will also wear black armbands, Idman.biz reports.

The Portuguese footballer tragically passed away on July 3 in Spain alongside his brother. Jota had been playing for Liverpool since 2020.
